Nydia Morales-Soto

Dr. Morales-Soto is a multi-skilled microbiologist/molecular biologist. Her professional experiences encompass project development, research, training, teaching, team management, and grant writing and support. Through independent and collaborative work, Dr. Morales-Soto has successfully bridged interdisciplinary efforts, spanning the fields of science, engineering, mathematics, and sociology. Her research career has largely been focused on the characterization of microorganism and their products placing special attention to their environmental context. Currently, Dr. Morales-Soto is targeting research projects and collaborations that connect the environment, the clinic, and the lab, with the goal of translating basic laboratory research and methodologies for clinical and field applications while targeting current global health challenges such as antimicrobial resistance and water quality.
