Katherine Carla Crank

Katherine Crank received  her BS in Chemistry and Environmental Science from in 2017 and her PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2022. Currently, her research interests include quantitative microbial risk assessment, geographic distribution of viruses in wastewater, and metagenomics. Her favorite parts of graduate school are giving research presentations and coding. In Katherine’s spare time she puts her microbiology skills to use making kombucha— fizzy fermented tea.
