We're excited to introduce the two newest additions to the Germ Lab this spring: Dr. Mariah Antunes do Nascimento and Sushil Dahal!
Mariah, a Postdoctoral Researcher, brings a strong background in Biomedicine and Microbiology from her studies in Brazil and Australia. She's focused on monitoring viruses and bacteria in environmental samples and developing affordable detection methods. Outside the lab, Mariah enjoys working out, discovering new places, and animals.
We also welcome Sushil, a PhD student with a master's in environmental science from Nepal. His research will focus on water quality and public health, especially in low-resource settings. In his free time, he loves reading fiction.
We're thrilled to have them both on board!
